Careers

We are a very flat organisation, with open dialogue on any topic. We invest in thinking and acting on important topics to make sure that we are a positive force in all we do.

Being a Veriteer means letting go of old-world thinking, letting go of an unhealthy focus on profit, letting go of oppressive peer competition, and letting go of fear-fuelled strategies.

Focus instead on new-world thinking, open yourself to boundless collaboration, engage in positive imagining, and above all deliver outcomes that make our customers’ worlds a little bit better.

This new world-thinking is central to our ability to deliver a lasting legacy, for our clients, for ourselves and for the planet.

About you

Are you a Veriteer?

You’re competent
Current capability is more important than background. It doesn't matter where you've come from if you can bring aptitude and experience to your role.
You’re collaborative
Teamwork is more important than individual skills. Although Veriteers will work in different ways, these must be compatible with, and tolerant of, all of your colleagues.
You’re principled
Personal impact is more important than academic attainment. You can have demonstrated this in one or more of a business, creative or technology discipline.
You’re adaptable
We value people joining Veriteer from another career. This could be from the retail or FMCG industries, a strategy consultancy, a software development lab, project management or something completely different...just be clear about what you bring.

The hiring process

It's not easy to be a Veriteer: we're doing the stuff that no one else can do. So bringing someone new into the family is always our biggest decision, and our biggest investment.

Step 1

The application

It all starts with a thoughtful application. Please make sure to let us know why you want to join, and what you will bring.
To commence the process, candidates will be asked to submit some bits of information:

  • An up to date CV.
  • A motivation letter indicating why you would like to work with us.
  • Screening questions (e.g. right to work...).
  • A digital porfolio if you are applying to a design role.

PS. We aim to process all applications within 1 week, but sometimes it may take up to 2 weeks due to holidays, etc.

Step 2

The intro interview

An (up to) one-hour competency-based interview to establish the basics of your experience and career motivation.

The intro interview should last no more than 60-minutes and consists of a series of pre-defined competency-based questions - with potential follow-ups from both the interviewer and candidate.

Competency-based questions require a candidate to reflect on a specific situational example from their experience to evidence a certain skill or competency.

P.S. We aim to process all applications within 1 week, but sometimes it may take up to 2 weeks due to holidays, etc.

Step 3

The discovery day

The Discovery Day* consist of 3 parts:

  • An (up to) one-hour rapid-fire interview to explore your thinking, passions and personality. The interview is designed to avoid overly deliberate answers, and get to the heart of who you are, what you can do and your most meaningful experiences that come to the surface through the fast-paced nature of the interview.
  • A practical exercise geared towards the specific role you have applied for. We normally ask that you spend around 2 hours completing the exercise offline, and then present it for about 30mins. Please be aware that the exercise will not be realistic. Our projects usually take weeks and months to complete, and we don't have time for that now! So be prepared for an overly simplistic brief with insufficient information. How you deal with it will give us a far clearer perspective on how you deal with the messy reality of customer experience in the wild!
  • A group role-play exercise to close Discovery Day with a fun activity. You will participate in this exercise together with candidates applying to other roles. It is a great opportunity for you to shows us your collaboration skills.

*Discovery Days are usually held on a Friday an can last between 3 to 4 hours. You will be meeting the different directors within The Customer Bureau.

Step 4

The offer

By this stage we'll know quite a bit about each other, but there may be follow-ups that either party may wish to engage in to close the bits and bobs.

We also try and throw in a lunch or coffee with the team to really help you get under our skin. Hiring is the most important decision we make as a team, and we take it really seriously. We're sure that you will feel the same!

Our whole process can take anywhere between three weeks to six weeks. This depends on your availability, our availability and how well the activities help us get to our 'need to knows'.
